My parents decided to jump on the train with John’s parents and pull their wedding funding unless a specific set of things are the way they want it. They want us to wait until next year, they want it to be in the fall, they want us to have the wedding in Madison in their garden and then at the park of their choosing, they want to be able to invite some of their friends. Basically they want the wedding THEY want, not us.
So basically fuck all of this so hard. I give up on this bullshit.
I absoloutly get the desire to have a wedding but if everyone is giving you such a hassle about it and things are becoming so guided away from the ideas of you and John seriously ditch it, get a dress, grab your friends get married at the courthouse take pictures and party all day long. If you don’t do what you like you will look back and regret it later.. it’s a huge step to commit to someone for ever let alone legally make sure it is filled with nothing but happy memories you will carry forever!
